UTD aims to seize the opportunity presented by the positive trend of travel levels according to a Mercury article which reports,
“As the country returns to pre-pandemic travel levels, UTD’s International Center—representing students from more than 100 countries—is looking to capitalize on the positive trend and satisfy its mission of bringing the “world to UT Dallas and UT Dallas to the world.”
Though it began receiving applications in March, the office celebrated its grand opening on Sept. 9 and has processed over 1400 passports.
“We did zero marketing. The Department of State had us on their website, so people could search for us,” said Edgar Miranda, Administrative Project Coordinator for the center. “People just started booking appointments.””
Those who are looking to avail of their services can find more detailed information on their website.
