Two Hands Restaurant Coming to Dallas’ Quadrangle

February 2, 2023 by Debbie Leave a Comment

Two Hands, a healthy Australian restaurant, is set to open in Uptown Dallas in early 2024 as part of the renovated historic Quadrangle, now known as The Quad. The restaurant is the first of five new establishments coming to the site, which underwent a major makeover by Stream Realty Partners according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,

“Two Hands, a cafe that describes itself as a “healthy Australian” restaurant, is expected to open in early 2024 in Uptown Dallas.

The restaurant will occupy one of the free-standing buildings in what’s formerly known as the Quadrangle, now the Quad, in an elbow of Uptown Dallas near the Katy Trail and the Crescent Hotel.

The Quadrangle was built more than 50 years ago, in 1966, and has been the longtime home to Theatre Three. Many Dallasites remember the Quadrangle as the site of the original 8.0 restaurant and bar, which we called a “hip and happenin’” place from its start in 1980. Stream Realty Partners is now leading a “major makeover” to the aging development, during which the Ginger Man was bulldozed and TNT Tacos and Tequila shut down. Dream Cafe moved to another part of Uptown, and CrushCraft Thai Eats relocated inside the same development.”

Two Hands is a community-focused restaurant that offers a range of menu options, sourced locally, from breakfast to dinner. The ingredients are meant to be tasted and should taste delicious due to being farm-grown. It also offers coffee and an excellent bar program according to a What Now Dallas article which reports,

“The community-focused restaurant aims “to create welcoming spaces and fuel your lifestyle with fresh, delicious food, superior coffee, and an excellent bar program,” according to the Two Hands website. The restaurant offers menu options from breakfast to dinner, as well as “coffee ‘til cocktails.”

Some menu options include sandwiches, salads, bowls, waffles, and more. Two Hands sources ingredients locally. The website states that diners “should be able to taste the ingredients, and they should taste delicious because they are farm grown and they are what they are meant to be.”

Two Hands, located at 2699 Howell St. in Dallas, will open its doors in the first quarter of 2024. This news comes as part of the announcement of multiple new restaurants that will be revealed in spring 2023.
