The legendary football icon will be seen serving beers as he aims to feature his own brand of beer called Eight Elite Light according to a WFAA article from April 29 which reports,
“The Super Bowl winner and Hall-of-Famer will be serving beers at Bar Louie at The Shops at Park Lane Friday at 5 p.m. to celebrate his Eight Elite Light Lager beer. This coincides with launch events for his product.
Aikman’s team says his beer has a very slight sweetness with a slight fruitiness to it as well.
The 55-year-old former Cowboys quarterback first announced in January 2022 his new beer, which he calls a low-calorie, light beer aimed at the health-conscious consumer. He said he assembled a team with the goal of creating a beer that didn’t force drinkers to jeopardize their otherwise healthy living decisions.”
His beer, named after his jersey number back with the Cowboys, is primarily known for being organic and of course, he takes delight in his own creation according to an IHeart article from April 30. They say,
“Eight Elite Light Lager was officially released in February. It’s an organic beer that’s only 90 calories and 2.6 carbs per 12-ounce serving. The 4% ABV drink has a slight sweetness and fruity flavor, according to WFAA.
“I’m proud to be back in the industry today, working with my team to bring you something we can honestly call elite. Beer is fundamentally about bringing people together, and I’m grateful for the new connections we get to make every day,” Aikman said, according to Eight’s website.
The new beer is named after his Cowboys and Oklahoma jersey number — eight. The FOX sportscaster also said the number eight represents strength and balance.”
While the legendary icon may be fun to watch and have a drink with, customers are expected to flock. So everyone is being advised to get in the bar early to enjoy the happy hour at 4PM.
