Dallas-based Tricolor, a company that sells used cars, opens a new reconditioning facility in Wilmer according to a Dallas Morning News article which reports,
“A Dallas-based company that finances and sells used cars primarily to Hispanic buyers has opened a new 200,000-square-foot reconditioning center in Wilmer.
Tricolor Holdings’ new facility includes a 12-acre parking facility with 200 service bays, a paint and body center, and an automated car wash to “recondition” Tricolor’s supply of used cars. The project will create 200 jobs in the southern Dallas area.”
Tricolor said it inspects the vehicles meticulously and invests about $2,000 in each car according to a BHPH Report article. They say,
“As part of its overall value proposition, Tricolor said it performs a 150-point inspection, invests an average of $2,200 in every vehicle and provides each purchaser with a free 18 month/18,000 mile limited warranty on the vehicle’s major components.
“Given today’s macro environment, as the burdens of high inflation impact the financially vulnerable, managing vehicle quality allows us to mitigate major mechanical issues, which can be devastating for a low-income borrower,” Chu said.”
Tricolor has 50 retailers in Texas, California, Nevada, and Arizona under Tricolor Auto Group.It has 350 employees in Dallas-Fort Worth and 1,000 employees nationwide.
