Goldee’s Barbecue, Texas’ top-ranked spot, is launching a Fort Worth rib-exclusive restaurant called Ribbee’s, following its 2020 rise to fame, according to a WFAA article. They say,
“Goldee’s Barbecue, the top ranked joint in the state according to Texas Monthly’s 2021 list, announced Sunday a new restaurant will be opening in Fort Worth.
But there is a twist with this new location: it’ll be exclusively a rib joint called Ribbee’s.
The North Texas BBQ joint nestled off of Dick Price Road in Fort Worth opened in 2020 and rose to prominence after taking the top spot on Texas Monthly’s prestigious list.”
Ribbee’s, a new ribs-and-fries takeout stand by Goldee’s owners, Jalen Heard, Lane Milne, and Jonny White, is opening soon in Fort Worth. Menu highlights include four rib options, beef “ribbees,” fries, coleslaw, and floats for dessert, according to a Fort Worth-Star Telegram article. As per the report,
“Ribbee’s, the new takeout ribs-and-fries stand from the owners of No. 1 -rated Goldee’s, will open within days, co-owner Jonny White said Friday.
Ribbee’s, 923 E. Seminary Drive near Interstate 35W in Fort Worth, is a new venture by three owners of Goldee’s, Jalen Heard, Lane Milne and White.
The menu will feature baby-back ribs four ways: original, spicy, sweet and hot-honey ($19.99/plate), plus beef “ribbees” ($22.99).
The simple menu also includes two side dishes — french fries and cole slaw. For dessert, there’s a Big Red float or a root beer float.”
Located in a 50-year-old former Sonic Drive-In, Ribbee’s adds a south Tarrant County lunch spot for Texas barbecue travelers, open Fridays through Sundays.
