One of the largest mixed-use development projects in Dallas is starting according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,
“Construction work is starting on one of the largest mixed-use projects planned north of downtown Dallas.
Years in the making, The Central project in the U.S. Highway 75 and Haskell Avenue is planned to include multiple high-rise buildings surrounding a central park.
The 27-acre development is a project of De La Vega Development, and it’s estimated to eventually cost almost $2.5 billion. Site crews are clearing the site for the first phase of The Central — a 351-unit apartment tower to be built by Dallas’ StreetLights Residential.”
StreetLights is also working on phase 4 of the Austin project and will feature key outstanding floor plans according to a Multi-Housing News article which observes,
“Design-driven multifamily and mixed-use developer StreetLights Residential is underway on construction of The Maris, the fourth phase of the Presidio development. Situated in the swiftly-expanding Lakeline neighborhood in northwest Austin, Texas. The Maris will feature 276 apartment homes. It follows the first three Presidio developments. They are The Michael, which opened in 2016, and The Elizabeth, which opened in 2019. Phase III, The Asher, broke ground last year and is slated for completion at the end of this year.
The Maris will feature studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans measuring from 517 to 1,684 square feet in size. Features and finishes of apartment interiors will include granite countertops in kitchens and bathrooms, designer tile finishes, GE Grade gas appliances and under-cabinet lighting. Select residences will offer a number of extra features, including a smart island induction cooktop. Among the leading common-area amenities is a large pool lounge with lounge seating and dining tables.”
StreetLight Residential has another project in Austin which is The Bowen, a luxury highrise located in The Domain.
