Exciting news for entertainment enthusiasts! Next week, construction will commence on Cosm, a groundbreaking 65,000-square-foot immersive venue at Grandscape in The Colony. Mirasol Capital, founded by Steve Winn, initiated the project in 2020, according to a Denton Record-Chronicle article which says,
“A new kind of immersive entertainment venue is about to break ground at Grandscape in The Colony.
Construction will begin next week on Cosm, a 65,000-square-foot public entertainment venue at 5776 Grandscape Blvd., the company said Thursday.
Mirasol Capital, the Dallas investment firm created by RealPage founder Steve Winn, started Cosm in 2020.”
Cosm’s facility at Grandscape will offer North Texans captivating “shared reality” experiences through art exhibitions, live sports, and immersive content. The venue features an 87-foot LED dome, immersive hall, outdoor deck, and CX System software, according to a WFAA article. They say,
“Cosm’s facility at Grandscape will allow North Texans to enjoy “shared reality” experiences with venue programming consisting of art exhibitions, experiential content, and live sports and entertainment events, including NBA games and pay-per-view UFC events. The experience is brought to life through the venue’s 87-foot diameter LED dome, an immersive hall, an outdoor deck, and CX System software. “
Cosm, founded by Mirasol Capital in 2020, is partnering with Dallas-based architects HKS to design their immersive venues, including The Colony location opening in Fall 2024.
