Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church is planning a $60 million expansion with Beck Architecture as the design firm, according to a Connectcare article which says,
“Huge church construction projects are not uncommon in Dallas. The First Baptist Church of Dallas, led by nationally known pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress opened its new state-of-the-art $130 million campus on Easter Sunday, March 31. It’s touted as the largest church building program in modern history.
Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church has plans for a $60 million expansion of its campus near Dallas’ Preston Center. Beck Architecture is the design firm for the project.”
The renovation project at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church focuses on sanctuary and school upgrades, adding amenities. The rector, Rev. Christopher Girata, emphasized the project’s transformative potential, according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,
“Renovations will be made to the main sanctuary and the classrooms at Saint Michael Episcopal School, which serves children aged 1 through kindergarten. The project also includes construction of a new atrium, parish hall, indoor play spaces and a cafe. New garden and green spaces will be available as well.
“We have an unprecedented opportunity to begin the next chapter of Saint Michael’s legacy and energize our church for the future,” said the Rev. Christopher Girata, the church’s rector, in the press release.”
Beck Architecture leads the project scheduled for completion by 2026, with extensive renovation and expansion across multiple phases outlined.
