“Popular West Coast-based chain Nick the Greek has just opened their first location in Dallas-Fort Worth. The Greek street food restaurant opened Aug. 11, 2023, in Irving at 7707 N. MacArthur Blvd., Suite 100.
The franchisee-owned spot serves traditional fare such as pitas, plates, bowls, and salads topped with chicken gyro, lamb, pork souvlaki or beefteki (a beef burger-ish patty). Sides include hummus, falafel, and Greek fries with feta, garlic and spicy yogurt. For dessert? Try the loukoumades (beignets topped with nuts and syrup) or frozen yogurt topped with baklava.”
Nick the Greek, a chain that has expanded to several states, including Texas, serves Greek food with a modern twist, making it accessible and approachable, according to a CultureMap Dallas article. They say,
“The chain has since expanded to Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas, where Irving is the third location, following two in College Station.

“Everyone knows what a gyro is,” “Baby” Nick tells the magazine. “They don’t know how to say it, so we’ve done a play on that. We’ve kept it simple.””
