Allen ISD approved a three-year, $25,000 per year sponsorship deal with H-E-B. The grocer’s store is near the Eagle Stadium, according to a WFAA article. They say,
“Allen ISD approved a sponsorship deal with Texas grocer H-E-B that was proposed at its board meeting last month.
Eagle Stadium, which is one of the state’s largest high school football stadiums, is only a six-minute walk from the new H-E-B store coming to Allen later this year.
The grocer agreed to pay $25,000 per year for three years to the district.”
The sponsorship deal grants H-E-B exclusive grocery product rights at Allen ISD events and various advertising opportunities at the stadium, according to a Local Profile article which reports,
“Among other perks, the sponsorship deal will provide the grocer:
– Exclusive rights to be the sole provider of grocery products at all Allen ISD-sponsored events held at AISD facilities.
– The ability to set a sponsor area outside and inside the stadium at all Allen High School home varsity and playoff football games.
– Advertising copy on signs in Allen High School basketball gymnasium, scoreboards at the Eagles Stadium and on one foam A-frame sideline sign at all Allen ISD football and soccer games at the stadium.”
The board unanimously approved the deal in May, effective from May 1, 2023, until April 30, 2026.
