After finding huge success in Frisco, H-E-B is set to open another location in Plano according to a San Antonio Express-News article. They say,
“H-E-B will open its second location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in November.
The San Antonio-based grocery chain announced Monday that its new Plano location will officially open at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2. In late September, the chain opened its first location in the area of Frisco, where 1,500 shoppers lined up for up to 12 hours in advance of the opening. By 6 a.m., people were in a line that stretched around the 118,000-square-foot store.
According to an Oct. 16 tweet, lines around the Frisco location remain long, about a month after opening.
But unlike other locations, the Plano location will boast both sheer number of employees and huge amount of space that will feature different gimmicks according to an NBC-DFW article which observes,
“According to the City of Plano, the store hired 750 employees.
“At 118,000 square feet, the H-E-B Plano store will showcase all the quality products and innovative services H-E-B customers have come to love and expect, including a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with a drive-thru, Curbside and Home Delivery service, fuel station and car wash, and a True Texas BBQ restaurant with a drive-thru, which was named best barbecue chain in Texas by Texas Monthly and a top barbecue chain in the nation by Thrillist,” the company said in a statement Monday..”
Accordingly, the new Plano location together with its mini establishments will be open Monday to Friday from 6 a.m.until 11 p.m.
