A Dallas team is set to compete in an inter-region Overwatch tournament according to a Dot Esports article from March 26th. In it they say:
“Not to be outdone by the Boston Uprising, the Dallas Fuel will also be fielding multiple teams with coordinating themes. Team Tazmuyaho includes the team’s coaching staff and, of course, manager Mat ‘Tazmo’ Taylor.Â
DPS Kim ‘Doha’ Dong-ha and support Kwon ‘Fielder’ Joon have taken the side of the coaches, but their fellow players have developed an antagonist team. Team Tazmo Without Tazmuyaho is exactly what it sounds like and includes the rest of the Dallas Fuel roster. “
In other related Overwatch League news, the Dallas Morning News is giving away a brand-new gaming monitor to anyone who can beat their predicted match-ups according to an article from them dated April 2nd. In it they say:
“If you can beat Dallas Morning News esports reporter Sean Collins in his predictions for the Dallas Fuel’s Stage 1, regular-season matches, you will be entered to win a brand new, Omen 24-inch gaming monitor.
Submit your entries before 2 p.m. CT on Friday, April 16 for a chance to win. Sean will publish his picks on Twitter at that time.”
Looks like even mainstream news is hyped for the local e-sports scene, especially for the local Overwatch league.
