Carbone’s Fine Food and Wine rebranded as Barsotti’s Fine Foods & Liqueurs following a lawsuit settlement. Owner Julian Barsotti let the public decide the new name through an online vote according to a Dallas Morning News article which say,
“After a lawsuit one Dallas attorney called “the greatest trademark case I’ve ever seen,” the owner of Dallas restaurant Carbone’s Fine Food and Wine will permanently change his Oak Lawn Avenue restaurant name to Barsotti’s Fine Foods & Liqueurs.
The lawsuit settlement forced the name change, and owner Julian Barsotti has been thinking about the new name for several months now. But in an unusual twist, he left the fate of his restaurant name up to an online vote. The community had been a strong supporter of his small business that made national headlines, he said, and he wanted fans to pick the name. Barsotti offered up five options for the restaurant name, and Barsotti’s won, garnering 36% of the online vote. A close second was Paesan, with 34%.
Carbone’s menu features a variety of categories including seafood cocktail selections, antipasti such as carpaccio piemontese and octopus pizzaiolo, as well as pasta dishes like lobster ravioli and linguini vongole. Additionally, the menu includes fish options like bass alison and meat options like veal marsala. Diners can also enjoy a variety of sides or contorni.
The menu at Carbone’s features an array of succulent options, including seafood cocktail selections, antipasti, pasta dishes, fish entrees and meat options. Sides or contorni are also available.

Barsotti’s Fine Foods and Liqueurs (previously Carbone’s Fine Food and Wine) will be located at 4208 Oak Lawn Ave in Dallas. The owner has signed a 10-year lease to prove commitment, the restaurant will celebrate its 11th anniversary on April 16, 2023.
