H-E-B is expanding its Joe V’s Smart Shop brand to Dallas, with two new locations scheduled to open in 2024 and 2025, according to a Winsight Grocery Business article. They say,
“Amid still-high food prices, H-E-B is reinvigorating its value-focused Joe V’s Smart Shop banner, announcing plans on Tuesday to open two new locations—the first expansion of the brand since 2018.
The two new Joe V’s stores are headed for Dallas, the first time H-E-B has debuted the discount banner outside Houston. The retailer plans to open one at 4104 W. Wheatland Road in late summer 2024 and the other at 5204 S. Buckner Blvd. in spring 2025.”
Blair Bepko, the marketing director for Bobbie’s Airway Grill, reveals how she recreated her mom’s signature for the restaurant’s logo, according to a Dallas Morning News article which reports,
“Take a look at the swooshy B, for Bobbie’s, on the door of Preston Hollow’s newest restaurant. Bobbie’s Airway Grill is named for the CEO’s mom, Bobbie Quick, but that’s not her handwriting. It’s a fake.
“In high school, I used to forge her signature,” says Blair Bepko, Bobbie’s daughter and the marketing director for the restaurant.
A few months back, Bepko’s brother, restaurant CEO Robert Quick, asked if she could still pen their mom’s name — this time for a restaurant. “Of course I can,” she answered.”
Bobbie’s Airway Grill is located at 5959 Royal Lane, Dallas, and is open daily for lunch and dinner. The restaurant opened on June 2, 2023. Additionally, H-E-B’s Joe V’s stores are set to open in Dallas at 4104 W. Wheatland Road in late summer 2024 and 5204 S. Buckner Blvd. in spring 2025.
